Synopsis from Goodreads:

She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah!

When Regina Bloomsbury's band, the Caverns, breaks up, she thinks it's all over. And then she makes a wish—"I wish I could be as famous as the Beatles."

The Beatles are her music idols. The next day, she gets up to find that the Caverns are not just as famous as the Beatles, they have replaced them in history! Regina is living like a rock star, and loving it. There are talk shows, music videos, and live concerts with thousands of screaming fans. And Regina is the star of it all.

But fame is getting the better of Regina, and she has a decision to make. Does she want to replace the Beatles forever?

Greg Taylor's The Girl Who Became a Beatle is a rocking young adult novel about the good and the bad of Hollywood, fame, and rock 'n roll.

My Review:

When my sister told me about this book, she actually said that it reminds her of a Disney channel's original movie. And she was right.

The concept of this book really fascinates me, this fast-paced story actually made me wonder what will happen next in every end of the chapters and page. Although there are parts of the story that don't seem to work for me, like how fast Regina transformed herself into a diva who almost lost her sight of her own self, but well it got better later on. And I also got frustrated on how her mother acts, it's like Regina is more mature than her mother, I also got the idea that she's only talking to Regina again because she became famous. In addition to this, I don't know if it's only me, but I really hate the character of Bradley in the story, and I actually hated Regina for not seeing his true intentions early. But anyway, I think Regina and Julian's little love story is cute, even though the story didn't actually focus on them. There's also a part that made me cry, its when Regina and her father had a heart-to-heart talk (if that's what you call it). I don't know maybe its just me.  Anyway, if you love or you're looking for light-hearted, cute, and fun stories, I recommend d this book to you. I really love how the story goes, and I actually hope that they'll make a movie out of it.

This book made me love The Beatles, I'm not a fan of the Beatles actually, I never listened to any of their songs except for Let It Be, because Justin Bieber made a cover of it before (pls don't hate me), but this book made me curious about them, and now I can't stop listening to yesterday and she loves you. And this book gives out facts about The Beatles, and its really cool because I learned a lot about them.

My Rating:  4/5
